Ivan Minkin, a 32-year-old flight attendant from St. Petersburg, has become a viral sensation on social media. His videos showcasing his humor and daily life as a flight attendant have gained widespread popularity. In his videos, Minkin jokes about his work trips, including his frequent "two-night stays in Sochi."

Minkin, who currently works for "Smartavia," started his career as a waiter and later decided to become a flight attendant. He received training from "Ural Airlines" and worked there for one and a half years.

In regards to passenger reactions, Minkin stated that some passengers recognize him from his videos and approach him for photos or to discuss his content. He also mentioned that some passengers find it surprising to see him being serious during flights, as his videos portray a more playful side of him.

Minkin also shared his experience with management's attitude towards his online content. Initially, when he started posting videos on TikTok, he faced criticism from the management of "Ural Airlines" for potentially depicting passengers as foolish. However, in his current position at "Smartavia," the management is supportive and even requests him to create content for their social media platforms.

Minkin's online presence has also helped him financially, as he stated that the income from advertising helps support his family, especially since his wife is currently on maternity leave. Despite having a relatively small number of followers on Instagram, ranging around 30,000, his videos often receive hundreds of thousands of views, which attracts sponsors.

Although Minkin is known for his humorous content, he mentioned that he takes his work as a flight attendant seriously. He reassures nervous passengers that flying is the safest mode of transportation and explains that most accidents occur on roads rather than in the air. However, he does admit that takeoff and landing can be the most challenging and important moments during a flight.

When asked about his educational background in international studies, Minkin stated that it has not been relevant to his career as a flight attendant. He mentioned that he and his classmates from the program have pursued various careers, such as beauty industry, photography, and hotel management.

Minkin's unique approach to his job has gained him a significant following and positive reception from both passengers and his current employer. His ability to balance humor and professionalism has made him a standout in the aviation industry.
