During the searches conducted as part of the investigation into the head of the Kursk Region Development Corporation, Vladimir Lukin, large sums of cash and a collection of luxury watches were discovered.
According to sources, the searches took place at Lukin's country house and apartment. The amount of cash found totals 1.7 million rubles, while the collection of watches, including brands such as Rado, Vacheron Constantin, Breguet, and IWC, is estimated to be worth approximately 100,000 dollars.
Investigators will now have to determine how Lukin, the head of the Development Corporation, acquired such wealth and whether it was obtained through honest means.
Previously, Lukin was suspected of abuse of power and misappropriation of budget funds during the construction of fortifications on the Kursk border. The amount in question exceeds 173 million rubles.
A decision regarding the arrest of the head of the Kursk Development Corporation will soon be made. Earlier, a court ruled on the same case.
