Bvlgari has unveiled its latest high jewelry collection, Aeterna, in honor of the brand's 140th anniversary. The collection highlights Bvlgari's ability to continuously innovate and reinterpret the spirit of each era.
One of the standout pieces in the collection is the Serpenti Aeterna necklace, which took over 2,400 hours to create. It features a large rough diamond at the center, surrounded by seven smaller diamonds with a combined weight of 140 carats. The necklaces are intricately framed with smooth three-dimensional platinum waves adorned with baguette-cut diamonds, a process that took five months to complete.
The collection also includes the Sapphire Aeterna Waves necklace, decorated with diamonds and sapphires, and the Sapphire Brocade ornament, which features thirteen cushion-cut sapphires and buff-top-cut emeralds. The Aurea Chandra choker reimagines a cult line from the 1980s, while the Tubogas Flower of Time necklace showcases a Zambian emerald weighing 31.07 carats, accompanied by shimmering diamonds. The necklace comes with matching earrings.
The Mosaic of Time is one of the most intricate and technically complex creations in the collection. The Monete Aeterna Augustus Emerald necklace is adorned with a rare bronze coin and 149 identical emerald beads weighing over 615 carats, 80 buff-top-cut emeralds, and a diamond pave. The Sequence of Eternity earrings feature diamonds arranged in a specific direction, symbolizing the future.
Bvlgari recently appointed Mary Katrantzou as its first creative director. The debut collection will be available for purchase in August of this year.
