Russian women have jumped on the bandwagon of a new beauty trend by shaving their faces. However, not everyone has had a positive experience. Some have ended up with stubble-like regrowth, while others have experienced skin irritation. This is reported by SHOT.
Videos featuring special sprays and scalpels have flooded Western TikTok, and then the trend was picked up by Russian women. They order similar products on online marketplaces and start shaving their faces. Some beauticians have also started offering these procedures, known as dermaplaning, where a special scalpel is used to remove the top layer of dead skin cells and peach fuzz. The skin is supposed to become smooth and radiant.
However, beauticians warn that this beauty procedure can actually disfigure your face. The new hair growth tends to be thicker and coarser, leading to the appearance of stubble. In addition, this trend can also cause flakiness, dryness, pigmentation, and irritation.
In Japan, a horrifying trend of silicone "werewolves" has terrified women in public restrooms. As for other Russian women, they have fallen for a no less strange trend called "It's for me." Its followers believe that tapping one's face and head can attract wealth and success into their lives.
