A couple of tourists, a 29-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman, were rescued by the Zlatoust rescue squad after getting lost in Urnga Ridge. The pair, who were dressed in light urban clothing, were unable to reach their destination due to freezing temperatures.
The local resident who spotted them realized that the freezing couple, who were traveling with minimal gear, would not be able to make it and immediately contacted the rescue team for help.
The injured tourists were evacuated from the mountain-taiga area in a high-terrain vehicle and handed over to an ambulance crew. Upon examination, it was discovered that the man had suffered frostbite on his feet due to wearing sneakers.
