Tips from top stylists on how to dress stylishly for the month of October.

Autumn is here again, and it's time to put away those summer clothes. But what should you wear to avoid looking outdated? Three top stylists share their advice.

Alexey Sukharev, a stylist and TV presenter, believes that minimalism is the genre of today's fashion. He highlights the retro-sport trend and the aesthetics associated with the "old money" style. These trends can be seen in sportswear inspired by golf, tennis, and other sports. The same color palette and similar silhouettes can be found in both men's and women's fashion.

According to Sukharev, black and gray are popular, especially in monochromatic looks. Burgundy is a favorite fall color, along with shades of red and purple. Another trendy color combination is burgundy and kiwi or lime. Brown and alternative to black are also in style. As for jewelry, gold is the current preference over silver.

When it comes to materials, there are two camps: those who prefer high-tech materials for outdoor and sportswear, and those who opt for luxurious fabrics like silk, cashmere, and wool. Denim is also a popular choice for various garments, from jeans to couture dresses.

In terms of footwear, there is a wide range of options. Chunky shoes with tractor soles and elegant ballet flats are both in style. The shape of the shoe can be pointed or rounded, depending on personal preference.

Vladimir Kalinchev, a top Russian makeup artist, suggests that natural makeup in earthy shades is trendy for the upcoming fall season. Deep cherry shades are popular for lips. However, the focus is on achieving beautiful, well-groomed skin, rather than using excessive highlighter and long-lasting products. Glossy lipsticks, moisturizing lip balms, and oils are preferred. Full, clump-free lashes are the perfect complement to any makeup look.

Elena Pavlova, a stylist and creative partner at AlterEgo Italy, highlights low, sleek ponytails, buns, and braids as the main hair trends for Russian celebrities attending film festivals this season. The emphasis is on natural beauty and healthy hair, with evening hairstyles designed to enhance that natural beauty. The messy bun is a popular choice, as well as simple braids with accessories like fabric or velvet scrunchies. The classic "shell" hairstyle, where hair is twisted into a chignon and secured with a large claw clip, is also making a comeback. Loose strands and braids framing the face are another trendy option.
